The Brothers Grimm

“I made that armor! It's not magic, it's just shiny.” – Wilhelm “Will” Grimm (“The Brothers Grimm” – 2005)

Jacob (Heath Ledger) and Wilhelm (Matt Damon) Grimm are famous for getting rid of the creatures that plague villages throughout Germany.  But when their actual rouse is discovered by Delatombe (Jonathan Pryce), they find that they must face his wrath or find out who’s behind the disappearances of the children of a small village.  While you’re watching “The Brother’s Grimm”, here are a few goofs to look for.

Hands Up!

Jacob and Will arrive at the village of Marbaden.  They get out coach/carriage and stretch.  Keep a close eye on Jacob during the scene.  Will asks if there’s “anyone there” and in the back shot of Jacob, we see that his right arm is stretched up.  It cuts to a quick front shot of Jacob and both arms are elevated.

Where Did She Come From?

Jacob, Will, Angelika (Lena Headley) and the others are in the forest.  When the French soldier is attacked, we see Jacob and Will start to run.  During this time, Angelika has encountered the wolf in the forest.  However, in the next shot of the brothers, Angelika is running with them.  When did she catch up with them?

Somebody Give Him A Hand

Jacob is trying to climb up on the roof of the tower.  From the far shot (from the ground looking up), we see him place his right arm and elbow on top of the head of the gargoyle statue.  In the following side shot, Jacob’s right arm is still near the gargoyle’s mouth and he puts it on the head again before pulling himself up.

A Hairy Situation

Towards the end, when Jacob is in the tower, the Mirror Queen (Monica Bellucci) throws him against the wall.  We see the knife in his right hand and the rope made of hair around his waist.  Will begins to climb up and when he finally makes it inside and grabs the knife, we can see the rope is still around Jacob’s waist.  But, in the next scene, when we see Jacob, the rope is gone.

Where did it go?
