Daddy Day Care
“How much “Star Trek” does that kid watch?” – Marvin (“Daddy Day Care” – 2003)
When Charlie Hinton (Eddie Murphy) and Phil (Jeff Garlin) lose their jobs, they decide to open a daycare service to make ends meet. Will they end up with more than they bargained for? Look out for these “oops” when you watch “Daddy Day Care”.
It’s Too Early In The Morning!
At the very beginning when Ben (Khamani Griffin) gets out of bed, we see a close-up shot where he puts his teddy bear on the floor to his right when he puts on his bedroom shoes. It cuts to a wide shot and the teddy bear is suddenly on Ben’s left side.
Gadgets!
When Charlie, Kim (Regina King) and Ben are touring
Light Saber Duels
Marvin (Steve Zahn) is dressed up as Darth Vader, battling with light sabers with the children. At one point, when he’s being swamped by the kids, we see him grab a green light saber in the wide shot. It then cuts to a close-up of Marvin who is now holding a blue one!
Veggies Are Supposed To Be Good For You!
Watch closely when Charlie and Phil are entertaining the kids by dressing up in the broccoli and carrot costumes. When the two begin to wrestle, the pieces of broccoli on the “mat” switch position from being next to the side to in the middle throughout the scene.
Cookie Thief!
Mr. Kubitz (Jonathan Katz) has arrived at the daycare center just before the kids see the puppet show. Watch carefully when he comes outside while Charlie, Phil and Marvin are talking. At first Mr. Kubitz is holding a cookie. When they introduce him to the children we see him reach in his inside coat pocket and his hands are empty. A few moments later the cookie is back in his hand!
Speaking Of Puppet Shows…
During the puppet show Becca (Hailey Johnson) is sitting to the right of the screen next to Dylan (Felix Achille). But when the two dolls kiss, Becca is now sitting to the left of the screen. The girl who was originally sitting on that side has now switched places with her.
