Dawn of the Dead (2004)
“When there is no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.” – Priest on TV (“Dawn of the Dead” – 2004)
When the dead start to roam the earth, a group of survivors take refuge at a nearby mall. Will they be able to ward off the undead and keep themselves alive? While you’re watching this 2004 remake, here are a few things to look for.
A Tough Wake-Up Call
After Luis (Justin Louis) has turned into a zombie, Ana (Sarah Polley) locks herself in the bathroom. When Ana falls into the bathtub, the shower rod lands across her legs. But in the following shot, the shower rod is near her right shoulder, on the edge of the tub.
Where Did That Come From?
When Ana tries to escape in the car, Luis tries to stop her and there are a couple of bloody handprints on the windshield. Ana drives the car and soon sees a bus in front of her. Watch closely. When a woman walks past the right side of the car, there is a considerable amount of blood on the windshield (especially the right hand side). A few moments later, before she meets Kenneth (Ving Rhames), the blood is back to its original amount.
Watch Where You’re Pointing That Thing
A truck, with survivors, speeds to the mall. Michael (Jake Weber) and Andre (Mekhi Phifer) rush out to help them. Watch closely when Andre runs out of ammunition and Michael comes to his aide. As the zombie approaches him, Michael aims the gun at his stomach and fires. But it’s the zombie’s head that gets hit!
