Norbit

“How you doin’? – Rasputia (“Norbit” – 2007)

Norbit (Eddie Murphy) grows up in an orphanage and eventually settles into married life with the dastardly Rasputia (also Murphy).  But when Kate (Thandie Newton), Norbit’s first love reappears, will he be able to find true happiness?  While you’re watching “Norbit” here are a few things to look for.

It’s A Wedding Dance!

Mr. Wong (Eddie Murphy) is making speech at Norbit and Rasputia’s wedding.  When he makes the “gorilla” comment, we can see Rasputia’s brother, Big Jack (Terry Crews), stand up.  There is a woman dressed in red standing in the crowd behind him and there is a man in a dark suit standing to her right.  When Mr. Wong talks about the snake bite, a quick shot of the crowd shows the man has now moved to the woman’s left.  He’s back on her right side a few moments later and then on her left again during the toast!

I’ll Drink To That!

When Deion (Cuba Gooding Jr) brings out the dinner plates, the bottle of champagne is on Kate’s left side, closer to Deion.  After he convinces her to marry him on Saturday, the front view of the two of them shows the bottle is now on the opposite side of the table.

Leave It!

Kate has been teaching Norbit how to ride a bicycle.  Norbit crashes the bike, is thrown over the handlebars and lands on the ground.  When he stands up, there is a leaf/debris in his hair.  But, after he agrees to go with Kate to help pick out food for the reception, the leaf is gone.  It’s back again when he say’s he’ll meet her at seven!

Do Over!

Kate and Norbit are at the Italian restaurant having dinner.  After the “old friends” toast, the scene cuts to a far shot of the two of them talking.  We see Norbit (with his left hand) put his wine glass on the table.  In the next closer/front shot, he does the same thing again!

It’s An Open And Shut Case!

Rasputia is looking for Norbit.  When she walks inside the Italian restaurant, a front shot of Rasputia shows the door behind her is slightly askew.  But, when she screams and turns around, the door is completely closed.
