Ocean’s Eleven (2001)

Danny Ocean (George Clooney) has just been paroled from prison, when he decides to seek out some of his old buddies including Rusty (Brad Pitt) and Frank (Bernie Mac). Danny soon makes his real intent know. The plan? A heist that includes stealing money from three casinos owned by Mr. Benedict (Andy Garcia). While you’re watching “Ocean’s 11”, here are a few things to look for.

Button Up!

After being released from prison, we see Danny on the escalator In the first close-up, Danny’s sports jacket is completely unbuttoned. But in the next farther shot, the top button is buttoned and remains that way when he steps off.

I’ll Drink To That!

Danny meets up with Rusty, who’s teaching celebrities poker in Hollywood. Watch closely during the poker scene. There is a bottle near Topher Grace’s right hand throughout the scene. But in the overhead shot, when Topher calls, the bottle is gone. It’s back again when Danny says “Let’s see them”. In the next overhead shot, when Danny puts his cards down, the bottle is gone again.

Don’t Stick That In Your Mouth!

The first time we see Linus (Matt Damon), he’s on a commuter train in Chicago. In the far shot, he’s holding his pen in his right hand and the tip of it is in his mouth. It cuts to a close-up of him and now the entire pen is in his mouth.

Here We Go Again!

Danny and Linus are in the elevator shaft. They both take their white shirts off. Watch Linus closely. When Linus asks why they “just didn’t tell” him, the close-up shows him standing up and he starts to take his white shirt off. It then cuts to a shot of the two of them and Linus starts to take off his shirt again!

How Did He Do That?

During the heist, Mr. Benedict tells Mr. Walsh (Michael Delano) to escort Frank out of the casino. We see the two men walk away, down the corridor. However, at the same time, when they’re putting the briefcase in the vault, Mr. Walsh is watching the security camera with Saul (Carl Reiner).

Watch This!

Danny and Linus open the elevator shaft after the two security guards have been knocked out. From the back view, we see Danny put his right arm near the elevator door. His elbow is on the floor and his arm is elevated. But in the front shot, his entire arm is on the floor.
